Please join in with our Prayer Week, running from Mon 4th to Sat 9th January.
There are four ways to join in this year:
1. Daily Prayer Sessions on Zoom
Everyday of the week there will be Zoom Prayer Meetings at 6.30am, 10.30am, 7.30pm and 9.30pm. Do try to make space in your schedule to join one of those on as many days as you can manage.
You will see that we will be focusing our intercessions on different things each day. Most sessions will also be using the outline of the well-known ‘Celtic Daily Prayer’ from the Northumbria Community.
3. Creative Prayer Walk
Please note that due to the latest Government announcement we have had to cancel the creative prayer walk on Thursday. However you can still do the Youth prayer walk as part of your daily exercise (see prayer map in #2)
2. Prayer Walk
Mike Levy has prepared a map of Thornbury, featuring key places where young people gather.
You could either walk around these places and pray, or remember to pray when you pass these places in the course of your normal daily life.
4. Pray at Home
Make it your goal to pray, ether alone or with others in your family / ‘bubble’, at regular times during the week. There is a simple resource with key things to pray for, which link with the topics being prayed for in the online Zoom meetings.
We will also be providing a family-friendly resource, which will be sent out before the start of Prayer Week.
